In Korea, the plan to establish Mensa Korea was first discussed by international Mensa members living in Korea between 1995 and 1996. At the time, there were several Korean members who had joined Mensa International, but only three members with active licenses were Hyeong-min Kim (joined in 1985), Hyo-jin Ahn (joined in 1995), and Dae-won Jeong (joined in 1994).
